What are our objectives?
The undergraduates and faculties in USIP are conducting Earth Science researches with the aim to tighten the gap of our understanding and answer questions about earth and atmospheric phenomena around us. Each experiment is expected to provide stepping stone in tackling environmental problems or other interesting atmospheric-related inconveniences that we are collectively facing.
The USIP group also aim to provide learning experiences and skill-building for the student members. Students are exposed to subjects that allows them to utilize what they have learn in their major as well as things beyond their field of study. USIP is also focused in building the following skills for the students:
It is within USIP's expectations that students coming out of USIP will prove to be great additions to America's workforce in the future.

How do we conquer them?
Our researches are conducted using Helium-filled weather balloon which will act as the carrier for the teams' self-built instruments. Each team are given the mass and environmental limits to work along with open options in selecting the researches they are interested in, within that scope. There are six faculties who will be mentors and advisors for various fields of study:
- Atmospheric Chemistry
- Atmospheric Physics,
- Engineering
- Math
- Computer Science
- Biology
- Weather-Balloon Research
